Obituary for Langston L. Hill
Langston Lee Hill known to most as “Blackjack” of 7141 Hunt Road, Jarratt, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the MCV/VCU Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Langston was born April 20, 1952 in Sussex County to Annie B. Hill and the late Stanley Lee Hill Sr. Langston enjoyed gardening, farming and fishing. He worked at Boars Head Provision until his health declined. He was baptized at Rocky Mount Baptist Church at an early age. He attended Dinwiddie High School. He was preceded in death by four of his brothers; Stanley Lee Hill Jr, Ronnie Eldores Hill, George Washington Hill and Charles Edward Hill, and one sister Carolyn Elaine Mays. Left to cherish his precious memories are his devoted mother Annie B. Hill, A devoted son Randy Lee Prosise, three sisters, Mary Hill and Dorothy Pully both of Petersburg, Va. and Jeannette Hill of Jarrett, Virginia, three brothers, Russell Lee Hill(Audrey) of Powhatan, Virginia, Robin Hill(Roberta) of Dinwiddie, Virginia and Dan Hill(Laura) of Richmond, Virginia, Six Aunts, Martha Ampey and Elizabeth Paul(Earl) of New York, Ann Mayfield(Clinton) of Jarrett, Virginia, Gracie White of Ettrick, Virginia and Beulah Prosise of Petersburg, Virginia, two uncles, James Robinson and John Hill(Diana) both of Petersburg, Virginia, two great aunts, Maggie Winfield and Rosa Lee Robinson of New York, two sister-in-laws, Sharon Hill And Wilma Hill both of Petersburg, Virginia. A host of nieces , two devoted, Barbara Hill and Beverly King and nephews devoted, Jamal Pegram and Troy Hill. He had three truly good friends, very devoted, Betty Prosise, Ruth Hill and Mary Mason. We would like to give special thanks to the New Century Hospice First of Emporia(Brandy) and the Southern Virginia Regional Home Health of Emporia. Also we give grateful thanks for the many calls and expressions of love and caring during this difficult time; we are so thankful for each of you
